Creating Happiness
What makes you happy? What gives you joy, pleasure and a sense of contentment? Webster defines happiness as "being favored by circumstances."
In the power of mindfulness and feng shui placement, you possess a key to explore and expand this quality, for you, personally, right now! It nourishes your heart and soothes your mind.
To begin, it is valuable to have a framework to acknowledge the presence or lack of happiness in your life. Enveloped in the whirl of day-to-day living, it is easy to be consumed with the demands of instant messaging and 24/7 availability, cell phones and all. Little time for self often translates to little energy for sensing and receiving.
Take a moment and look at what circumstances surround you; people, places and things. Place a number from 0 (lowest) to 10 (highest) to define the positive influence of the top ten encounters that spontaneously come to mind.
Then look for a thread of elements that live in these experiences. Notice the environments, colors, textures and shapes.
Now reorganize your relationship with what is around you to pull these energies to you. Places to focus are: 1.) The first sight you see as you rise in the morning, 2.) The last sight you experience before closing your eyes to sleep, and 3.) The first sight you see as you enter your home.
These three places inspire a personal power as you travel through the various levels of expression; the way you are rejuvenated in sleep, move forward in the experience of the day, and return to you inner-essence of "home" from the expansiveness of your more public persona.
Living to harmoniously fulfill and exceed your destiny in a natural and peaceful way is a gift of mindfulness and conscious place. A periodic check-in supports your evolution.
The Buddha said:
"What you think,
You become."
What you see and sense creates circumstances to reinforce your pure spirit in the outer world. Happiness, health and success unfold and as you become most fully you!

The Power of Intention
Feng Shui is a tool for changing our lives. Feng Shui is a way of attracting positive energy to our lives. The basic philosophy of Feng Shui addresses the principles of energy flow. When we apply these principles to our environment balance and harmony are the results. We are then in balance with the forces of nature and life is harmonious and positive. Feng Shui adjustments called Feng Shui "cures" are how we apply these principles. When we add the power of intention to our Feng Shui cures we multiply the effect one hundred fold.
How do we apply intention to a cure or cures? First we become very clear on exactly what we want. Then we visualize the result as if it is happening. The second step is to connect our bodies with our minds during the visualization. This is accomplished by letting our bodies feel it happening. We are then in the experience and can feel the joyful emotion associated with our desired outcome. The third step is to strongly expect the result to happen, this seals the intention.
When we place a Feng Shui cure to empower our lives we need to be very clear about what we want. If we are not very clear we will get a general result. These more general intentions can be effective such as, " I want to increase wealth". You will increase wealth with this intention, but the result may be less of an increase than you desire. If your intention is, "I will produce a million dollars in sales this year " you are being very specific and are much more likely to manifest your true intention.
We have, at our disposal, a very powerful tool for transformation. This tool is our imagination. It allows us to visualize and visualization is necessary for manifesting any intention. Example: the architect that creates a beautiful home starts with visualizing that home. The artist that creates breathtaking art starts with a visualization of his/her creation. The writer, the poet, the moviemaker the business tycoon all start with a visualization of how they wish their creations to look. The more specific and clear the architect, artist, etc. in their intentions, the more likely they are to manifest exactly what they intend.
Expect your intention to be made manifest! Expect the result you desire! Not with a "Show me" or a "Prove it" attitude not even with an attitude of "I'll wait for the magic". Expecting the result is truly believing that what you have visualized is already happening, that you deserve it, it is a "But of course, it is already mine" attitude.
A Feng Shui professional is a valuable piece in the puzzle of success. Often we require help getting "clear" on our needs, wants and desires. Often we subconsciously sabotage our best intentions. There is also a lot of confusing information on Feng Shui in books and in the media. This is why it becomes essential to seek the advice of a professional when we are serious about change. A Feng Shui consultant helps us get clear and will steer us in the right direction with the proper cures that will be the most effective for our particular needs and lifestyle. Someone whose "intention" is to help others improve their lives and can give us the focused attention we deserve.
